Day 4 - The drive to Muncho Lake and our stay at the lodge - Today we woke up in Whitehorse. Loaded up everything and headed out for the Northern Rockies Lodge at Muncho Lake. We had a beautiful day to drive it was sunny and blue skies. We got to see some wild life. Lots of bison. The dogs went nuts every time they saw them. The lodge is beautiful. We enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant and had an awesome dessert it was carrot & cranberry cake with cream cheese frosting. I am going to have to figure out how to recreate it! It only got to 2 or 3 above 0 a couple of spots on the drive mostly it was around minus 10 or colder. And there was a 10 to 15 mile per hour wind which is just what you need at -10.

Day 3 - Crossing border day - We woke up in Tok. Had a man look at van and patch it up to make it safer to drive. We then headed to Whitehorse. We crossed the border with no issues took about 5 minutes to transit the border check point. We had a very nice clear blue drive to Whitehorse. The dogs are finally settling into the routine. The temperature has been below 0 so far. It is causing issues with my legs. They do not like the cold temps.

The last day in our Alaska Home! - On day 2 of our adventure we woke up at the hotel in Wasilla. We then went to breakfast with Mikes brother then we headed off to Fairbanks. Almost halfway there we got a call from the shipper. The movers had packed my 500 lb Koala Cabinet and a huge chunk ok my fabric into the first cube and they could not lift! We had to turn around and drive back to Anchorage To move stuff around. With the help of a friend we were able to move stuff around. It then took the shippers 2 hours to get the 5 cubes out of the driveway due to the ice.

We had to cancel the Fairbanks portion of our trip. We left Anchorage about 9 pm to drive to Tok. On the way I hit a caribou with the van. Luckily the van is still drivable! We spent the night in Tok!
