Day 9 - Texas at last!!!! We woke up this am in Loveland CO to light snow. We headed out on the road it was about 7.5 hours of driving time. We crossed into Texas at about 5:30 pm!!!! We are spending the night in Amarillo tonight and we will drive into Leander tomorrow. The light snow lasted to about Denver. I stopped at Colorado Fabrics in Aurora it was a nice store. They carry all kinds of different fabric not just quilting fabric. We then continued down the highway. We went through Colorado, the corner of New Mexico and into Texas.

Day 8 - On to warmer weather - We woke up to snow in Billings. I went to an urgent care today and had my stitches out from my biopsy. We then hit the road to Loveland Colorado. We ran into a couple area of snow and blowing snow but it was not bad. Between Casper and Cheyenne was horrible it was snowing very hard and the winds were horrible. For over an hour I drove about 45 mph. When we got to the hotel after dinner with friends it was snowing!

Day 7 - On the road a week and we are back in the US! - Today We traveled from the Calgary area to Billings MT. When we left the hotel in the Calgary area it was snowing and it snowed until we were about an hour and a half into MT. It then snowed on and off until we got to Billings. We had no issues transiting the border. It took about 5 minutes. My legs were not happy today. I think part of it was the length of the car ride yesterday. It was a 10 hour drive. I was a little freaked out because they were so horrible today. About half the sores were leaking and my legs hurt horrible today. I then noticed that I was peeing a lot today. I mentioned It to Mike and he said so was he. We finally figured out where we ate last night must have been really salty which caused me to retain water above and beyond what the Vasculitis is causing. Tonight they are much better. I am hoping to get a good nights sleep tonight I am sure that will help tons.

The beautiful lights coming down into Billings. When you approach Billings from the north it is down in a valley.

Day 6 - Our long day to the Calgary area! - We headed out this am head on a very long 10 hour long drive to the Calgary area in Albert. We had a bit of sun today but not much. What we got to see today is temps that never went below 15!!! Yay. It makes my legs much happier. They will be really happy when it is in the 50’s. I stopped at a quilt shoppe in Grand Praire today. It was a nice 20 min break from the car. It was a very long day but it was good. The one really funny thing that happened was we threw a wiper blade when Mike was driving. We had just stopped for gas and to potty the dogs. We got back on the road and Mike used the wipers to wash the windows, the drivers side wiper did some weird moves then flew off while going down the freeway. Luckily we had another set in the back. We pulled over into a rest area down the road and I put the new ones on! Hugs to all!

Day 5 - The journey to Fort St John - We woke up in the am at the Northern Rockies Lodge loaded up and headed out. When we started it was lightly snowing. We had a very nice drive. It cleared up about half way to Fort St John. We crossed the continental divide. That is one of the narrower and windier sections of the road. I wanted a picture of the continental divide sign but could not find it. It is possible it was buried by snow. We saw some more wild life today and for the first time in the trip got to see temperatures that were above freezing for about the last half of the drive. We stopped and had lunch in Fort Nelson at an A & W it was awesome food Mike and I really enjoyed it! When we got close to Fort St John it started snowing lightly again. We decided that night to eat at a restaurant called Mr. Mike’s, I never knew my husband owns a chain of restaurants!
